2-for-1: Wine and Chey-ism #2

This evening my husband built a fire outside in our new outdoor fire pit.  I am not a Black Friday shopper, but I found myself at Home Depot looking for a deep freezer.  The one I was looking for was on sale (yay), but just my luck it won't be in stock for another 2 weeks (boo). As I was looking for the freezer my husband found an outdoor fire pit.  Of course we had to fire it up tonight!

The 3 of us sat around the fire with our blankets singing songs and playing word games.  Cheyenne had hot chocolate, while hubby and I had steeped wine.  If you haven't had steeped wine before you must try it.  My husband introduced it to me back in 2003 when he used to belong to a wine club that sent him sweet wine that was made from olallieberries, which tastes like a mixture of raspberries and blackberries.  The wine we had tonight is called "T" from Paradocx Vineyard in Chester County, Pennsylvania.

"T" is a tea infused white wine with a sweet, but not too sweet flavor.  To steep the wine pour the wine (entire bottle) into a crockpot and let it heat up (use the high setting).  Once nice and hot, pour it into a mug or a thermos.  We put ours in a thermos so it would stay warm while we were outside by the fire in the backyard.  It was very good.  If you want to try it all you need is a sweet wine and a crock pot.  You can steep it on the stove, but be careful not to burn it.

Here is your 2 for 1 - Chey-ism #2.  As I mentioned, we played word games.  One of the games was to name a food for every letter in the alphabet.  Cheyenne had "L" and she said LEMONS.

Chey: Mommy, it's your turn.
Me: Nachos! Okay, Daddy your turn.
Hubby: Wait, I'm supposed to have "N".
Me: Huh? No, I have "N".
Chey: We are using the AL...PHA...BET.  "M" comes after "L", not "N".  Mommy, I think you're drunk.
