White Wine Lovers

I am a red wine drinker, but sometimes a white wine will sneak into my glass.  LOL.  I buy white wine only because my husband likes it, and if he hasn't guzzled it down I will have a glass or two.  Unfortunately, I did not get to taste this wine, but I did ask hubby about it.

Vola Puglia Trebbiano Pinot Grigio (No year, which I found a little strange)
Store Bought: Trader Joe's
Cost: $3.49 (SUPER CHEAP!!)

He said it was tangy with a fruity kick at the end.  He also said the wine wasn't very sweet.  I looked up the wine and it has grape and apple juice flavor tones.  It is a crisp, light wine that is best served with a light meal (salad, appetizers, and/or pasta).  He used it to marinate chicken the other night, which was pretty good.  The wine is a combination of Trebbiano (84%) and Pinot Grigio (16%).  Trebbiano is also known as Ugni Blanc.  It is made from the most planted white grape in Italy and the second most widely planted grape in the world. This grape is also used to make balsamic vinegar.

If you try it, let me know how it tastes. Hopefully, I will get a taste of the next bottle of wine he uncorks.

Drink & Be Merry!
