My daughter's grandmother (aka Grammy) bought her a beautiful bedroom set the year we moved back to the States. Grammy also bought her a bookcase and a nice mattress to go with her full size bed frame. The good thing about a bigger bed is there is room for one of her friends if she has a sleepover. The bad thing is there is also room for Mommy or Daddy too. (oh yay...NOT!) As you are aware, mattresses aren't cheap and I really don't want to replace it sooner than I have to. I remember asking my parents for a mattress for Christmas when I was in my 30s after I saw how much they were.
The other night Chey asked her Dad to sleep with her. I was standing in the room. By the way, anyone who knows my husband knows he doesn't weigh 100 pounds. Just a tad more. LOL!
Chey: Daddy, can you please sleep with me?
Daddy: No, not tonight.
Chey: Why?
Daddy: (looking at me) Mommy doesn't like when I sleep in your bed.
Chey: (she looks at me) Why, Mommy?
Then she goes on a little rant....
Chey: That's not very nice! Why can't he sleep in my bed? That's not fair!
Oh wait.....(pause...looks at her Dad...looks at me)
Chey: Ohhhhh, is it because he's too heavy and he will break it?
LMAO!!!!
