One thing that drives me nuts is when people keep their Christmas lights and decorations on their house or in the yard anytime after December. By January 1st all signs of Christmas need to come down and stored away. Chey has taken on my dislike and has a comment every single time she sees a santa, snowman or any color Christmas lights (even white) on a house.
Chey: OH MY GOSH! REALLY??
Me: What?
Chey: That house! It's February and they still have their Christmas decorations up.
Me: I hate that.
Chey: Me too! That house looks ridiculous.
Me: Oh well, what are you going to do?
Chey: Send them a calendar!
She's such a Silly Goose, which reminds me of a Shiraz I tried a few weeks ago. It's called Silly Goose and it's from Australia.

Silly Goose Shiraz, Australia
Cost: $5.99
Store Bought: Total Wine & More |
I describe wine based on what I think and understand. As I said before, I'm not a Sommelier, but neither are most of the people I know who drink wine. I wanted to see if others used the same words and description as I would use, so I asked my mother and hubby to taste the wine and let me know if they liked it and to get their opinion.
They both thought the wine was moderately dry, but it wasn't overpowering. Smooth going down. A full-bodied red wine that would be perfect with a nice thick juicy steak. (that was hubby's description - LOL) My mother said she could drink it by itself. I would prefer to have it with food, like a meat and cheese plate.
For the price, you can't go wrong. I used this bottle in my Silly Horse Superbowl recipe.
Enjoy your week. I'm sick, so I will be trying my best to get better so I can drink (and taste) more wine!
