I'm not old!

My daughter loves the Weird but True books. It has weird things that are true. For instance, did you know only female mosquitos bite?

The other night she was reading out of the book and told me this little fact...

Chey: Mom, it says the first car didn't have windshield wipers.
Me: Really, that's interesting.
Chey: You should know that. When did you get your first car?
Me: I'm not that old! Helloooo...the first car was built in the 1920s!
Chey: Oh...my bad.

Speaking of vintage, how about a wine suggestion. Lol!

I was on a sangria kick this summer. Now that it's Fall, I figure I better write about it before I get into my egg nog kick.

I found some pretty cheap ones at World Market and Trader Joe's. The one I like comes in a box. Yes, a box! It's called Don Simon Sangria. The website claims that its the #1 selling sangria in the WORLD. No wonder I liked it. Lol! Since I favor red wine, I always get the red wine version, but they also have a white wine version too. It's from South of Spain and it's really good.

World Market had it for $9.99 for the 3L box. Great price!

Sangria can be enjoyed anytime. I love a chilled glass of sangria with cut up fruit and ice. That's probably why I normally buy/order it in the spring/summer. I wonder how it would taste mulled....hmmmm....

Well, summer is over. Looking forward to the fall in New England.

Salute!
