Tonight I feel like slipping into a Little Black Dress. You're probably thinking that it's Friday night and I must have an exciting evening planned. Well, that depends on what you define as "exciting." My "hot date" is downstairs in his man cave doing whatever it is he does down there, while my daughter is watching Disney on her iPad (she only has screen time on the weekends). My exciting Friday night consists of laundry, watching Season 1 of Chrisley Knows Best and a glass (or two) of one my favorite wines...Little Black Dress.
Sidebar: Chrisley Knows Best is a crack up. At first I thought it was just another show about a rich spoiled family. It is, but the dad is HILARIOUS. He is no joke! He tracks his kids' cell phone, has a tracker on their cars and is on them like white on rice. His kids don't get away with nothing. Reminds me of my childhood. LOL!
Anyway, back to the wine. My neighbor introduced me to the wine a few weeks after we moved here. It has become a staple in our house ever sense.
Although it's a Merlot, it's another one of those "drink anytime" wines that I love. Merlot is usually a variety of wine you have to pair with something substantial like red meat, but this wine is smooth. Don't get me wrong, it's perfect with a nice juicy steak or a plate of rich cheeses like bleu cheese or a smoked gouda. Yum!
Where else are you going to find a Little Black Dress that fits perfectly for any occasion for under $10! ;)
