BEST WEEKEND EVER!

This post is a little different than the norm, but it involves my experience with my daughter, so I thought I'd share.

I was brought up in the Catholic Church.  My mom was the catalyst of our family's faith.  She is the one that made sure that all five of her children were raised believing in God, Creator of all things.  I was baptized and made my First Communion and Confirmation in the church my family attended for years.  I also went to Catholic school from 3rd to 12th grade.

I am not a practicing Catholic, but I still go to church.  Currently, I attend ValleyPoint Church in Glen Mills, PA, a nondenominational church that shares the same beliefs that I have from my Catholic faith.  One of the differences is how and when you are baptized.

At a young age, my parents made the choice for me.  Now I have made my own choice and the wonderful part is that my daughter has made her own choice to follow Jesus Christ.  So, on Sunday, June 1, 2014, my daughter Cheyenne and I were baptized together by immersion.

We were happy - there was sun in our eyes
and we just got out of VERY COLD water!  LOL
The Colbert & Kimball Girls

We shared this day with one of my really good friends, Tracy, and her daughters, Olivia and Katherine.  Tracy and I became friends when our daughters were in cheer.  She invited me to the church and I've been going ever since.

Me & My Girl
On Saturday, Charles (hubby) took Chey and I out to celebrate and we both received awesome gifts!  (Love presents!)  A diamond cross, bracelet with our names and baptismal date, and a jewelry box with the bible verse Ephesians 5:26 That He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word.

PRESENTS!!

Congratulations to my beautiful daughter and the Kimball gals!
CHEERS!
